Personal Development and Gymnastics Retreat

The Mental Refresh You Know You Need,

But Somehow You Never Prioritize

Forge Unique Connections

At the beginning of our Park City, Utah retreat, Danielle said something that - at the time - I didn’t realize the true weight of, “All of you will have a unique connection. You all are here, doing this work and experiencing things together that no one else is. You can never fully verbalize exactly what the experience of our Train Like a Gymnast retreats are like - you just have to live it.”

Now, as the retreat comes to a close and we continue on into our next chapters of lives, all heading different directions, I realize just how true this is. With that being said, I am going to do my best to bring the experience to life here, for you all, so you can see just how much you need this…

Train Like a Gymnast

First thing is first - GYMNASTICS! Of course, the sport that brings us all together is the main spotlight of the retreat. The beautiful and unique thing about Train Like a Gymnast, however, is these are gymnasts from ALL walks of the sport - from dabbling in recreational classes as a child, to competing competitively in college, to never having set foot on an official gymnastics mat - we all came together to share our love for the sport of gymnastics.

Our Train Like a Gymnast retreat meets you wherever your body’s capability is at - whether that be learning new skills or getting over a fear of walking across a beam. We want to invite you to challenge yourself in the nurturing environment of the retreat with Danielle there to guide, spot and teach you.

On this specific retreat, we got the incredible opportunity to Train Like a Gymnast with 2004 Olympic Women’s All Around Gold Medalist, Carly Patterson at USA Gymnastics World. There, Carly and Danielle led us through a traditional “gymnastics practice,” training all four events. We also brought our talents to Woodward Park City, where we bounced and flipped around on the tumble track and trampolines.

Adventure Like a Gymnast

It’s not ALL gymnastics! We also get the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the location we are at, for us it was the beautiful mountains of Park City, Utah. Together we hiked Donut Falls Creek to a breathtaking waterfall - in this case, *DO go chasing waterfalls! Here, we got some cool shots of gymnastics poses and stayed present to take in the peaceful beauty of the nature around us.

We also headed to Ninja Warehouse where we tested our strengths and learned some new tricks. Our retreaters got the opportunity to scale the warped wall and spider climb, power through the salmon ladder and swing the arm rings. They even got to learn some tricks of the pole dancing trade from our very own Danielle!

Think Like a Gymnast

Let us not forget the life-shifting mindset workshops Danielle leads us through. This begins with the eight one-on-one sessions leading up to the retreat that help you lay the groundwork for what is ahead. With each session, you dive deeper into your inner-workings and gradually you begin to see the changes before you even head to the retreat.

When you arrive, throughout your time there, mindset workshops are integrated into the itinerary. You will amaze yourself with the emotions that find their way to the surface when you truly commit yourself to the experience. It is hard work for sure, but the incredible weight that lifts when you come to realize the progress you have made in just 5 short days will surely be worth it.

Check out the reflections some of our retreaters shared below!

Overall, this experience was once in a lifetime. Sure, there was a monetary expense, but the investment in yourself is worth every penny when you realize the tremendous growth potential this enables. I know, without a shred of doubt, this experience was absolutely worth it.

Now, I invite you to join us for our next retreat in 2022!

Until next time,
